Recap: What's new after the Apple Developers Conference 2021
On June 7, Apple held the annual Apple Developers Conference 2021 to release a variety of new products and features. In case you missed it, we’ve rounded up the most important updates from the conference so you can stay informed on the latest tech trends.
iOS 15
iOS 15 comes with powerful feature and new way stay connected. Release major update on FaceTime, Focus Feature, enhanced on-device intelligence, Maps, Weather, and Wallet. Siri work in Offline mode as well.
FaceTime
Enhanced FaceTime with More Natural Calls and Shared Experiences with SharePlay. Now friends and family are better connected on FaceTime. With spatial audio on AirPod Pro and coming voice of that person from where they are appear in the screen. Using Portrait mode on FaceTime user can blur the background to focus on the call. There are also new grid view in group FaceTime.
Now user can share the experience using SharePlay while connected using FaceTime. User can listen song on Apple music, TV in sync mode with friend-family and share the controller like play, pause, next, skip using SharPlay during FaceTime so everyone can control. SharPlay sync with iPhone, iPad, macOS even Apple TV.
FaceTime call also join from link and share via Mail, Messages, Calendar or other Apps. Even Windows and Android user can join FaceTime call using browser.
Focus Tools
Provide new feature to focus the user to help to focus and reduce the distraction from annoying Notifications. Also share the focus on other Apple device.
Live Text and On-Device Intelligence
User can take action like copy while detect the text from camera in live mode using on-device Intelligence. User also get more information around the world like art, landmark, books. There are many other feature avaialble.
macOS Monterey
Apple introduce macOS Monterey, the world’s most advanced desktop operating system.
macOS Monterey comes with powerful feature like SharePlay in FaceTime and Focus to sync with another Apple device. Using SharePlay in FaceTime share content via Messages right in Photos, Safari, Apple Podcasts, Apple News, and the Apple TV app. Major update in the Safari feature, powerful tab organizations and create group of tab and automate the tab of everyday task. Focus help user to set the status so user can work without distraction and ignore the notification of unrelated there current activity. Also share the status across the other device. Universal Control to connected all device and control using single mouse and keyboard in Mac and iPad seamlessly. User also can drag and drop the content and shared the clipboard on the connected device.

Still, we don’t have official release date but on Jun 7 2021, it will be released the public beta for testing. Might be in September months event it will officially release. Last year Introduce completely new macOS 11 named Big Sur for support Apple silicon M1 ARM based chip. macOS 12 will be enhanced version of the Big Sur and some new features. Currently it’s rumored to Apple M2 chip. So it’s possible to support macOS 12 support the next generation Apple M2 chip.
